Ringmer Rovers JFC would like to welcome all visiting teams, coaches, managers, families and fans to our club where we are sure you will experience a warm welcome from whichever team you are playing.  Matches on a Saturday are played on the grounds of Ringmer Community College whilst matches on a Sunday are also played at The Convent Field, Lewes and this page is designed to give you all the information you need for your visit.

INFORMATION FOR RINGMER COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Parking - please park sensibly on any of the many tarmac areas.  Further areas are provided for our Summer Football Festival where stewards will guide you accordingly.  Please drive slowly whilst in the school grounds.

Changing - areas for changing can be provided and we do provide toilet facilities.

Refreshments - hot and cold drinks and snacks are usually available from our own stall, depending on weather conditions.

Photography - we ask visiting clubs to respect, as we do, the rules outlined in the league's child protection guidelines.  Family photography is fine, but coaches are asked to be aware of the rules if planning to publish pictures. 

Smoking - as expected of a Junior Football Club, playing on school premises, smoking is strictly prohibited.

Dogs - the college's health and safety policy requires that dogs are not brought on to the playing fields.

 Ringmer Community College is approximately 10 miles north of Brighton, 15 miles west of Eastbourne & is 3 miles outside Lewes on the road to Heathfield (B2192) & the village can be easily accessed from Mid, East & West Sussex.  The College entrance is directly accessed from the B2192 and there is parking for over 100 cars for normal match days and up to 600 cars for Summer Football Festival only - if using for regular game or training please use entrance off Harrisons Lane / Greater Pacddock which is just the Lewes side of the College entrance.  Turn into Harrisons Lane, then immediately left into Greater Paddocks and the school gates are directly in front of you. Please park on one of the many hard standing areas.

 Directions from Eastbourne / Polegate / Hastings / East Sussex

 From the A22 Northbound, turn left at Golden Cross onto Laughton Rd (B2124) signposted Lewes, follow Laughton Rd into Ringmer, turn left on to Lewes Rd (B2192) at mini roundabout, past The Green Man pub & entrance to College can be found 400 yards on the left.  For normal match days please go past College entrance and turn left into Harrisons Lane (approx 100 yards). If you reach the Village Green on your right or Anchor Inn on your left you have gone too far.

 Directions from Brighton / Hove / Worthing / West Sussex

From A27 Eastbound, take the Lewes bypass & turn left into Lewes at the second roundabout which takes you through the Cuilfail tunnel (you can go all the way through Lewes if you turn left at first roundabout - follow signs for Ringmer/T Wells).  Turn right at roundabout (Snail) & head up Malling Hill (A26) out of Lewes. Turn right on to Lewes Rd (B2192) & follow for 2.5 miles & College entrance is on the right, approx 400 yards after Anchor Pub. For normal match days, turn right into Harrisons Lane which is approx 100 yards past the Busy Bee Garage on your right.

Directions from Haywards Heath / Burgess Hill / Mid Sussex

Take the A272 to Uckfield & turn right onto A22 towards Eastbourne.  At Halland turn right onto Lewes Rd (B2192) & follow into Ringmer, where the College entrance can be found 400 yards on left after mini roundabout.  For normal match days please go past College entrance and turn left into Harrisons Lane (approx 100 yards). You can turn right onto A26 & come in this way - turn left into Ham Lane (after The Cock Pub exit on right), bear right onto Church Hill, follow road & turn left onto Lewes Rd (B2192) at end & College is 400 yards on the right. For normal match days, turn right into Harrisons Lane which is approx 100 yards past the Busy Bee Garage on your right.

 INFORMATION FOR THE CONVENT FIELD, LEWES

Parking - parking is free on a Sunday in any of the marked bays.

Changing - changing rooms have shower and toilet facilities.

Refreshments - refreshments are NOT available at this location as we are off site.

Photography - we ask visiting clubs to respect, as we do, the rules outlined in the league's child protection guidelines.  Family photography is fine, but coaches are asked to be aware of the rules if planning to publish pictures. 

Smoking - smoking is not prohibited inside the changing rooms or toilets.

Dogs - dogs are allowed but we request they are kept on a lead during the match.

Langugage - all players and spectators are asked to refrain from using foul and abusive language as this is public area with many children in close proximity.

Litter - all litter must be cleared upon completion of each match from around the pitch and inside the changing rooms.

The Convent Field : Mountfield Road : Lewes : East Sussex : BN7 2XD

 Found at the end of Southover High Street, 100 yards from the Railway Station, behind The Dripping Pan (home of Lewes FC).  The pitches can only be accessed on foot from the Car Park, whilst the changing rooms are found at the rear end of the Car Park on the left hand side.

Directions from Eastbourne / Polegate / Hastings / East Sussex

  From A27 westbound, approach Lewes and turn right at the Southernham roundabout, proceed through Cuilfail Tunnel and turn left.  Head into the town, passing Waitrose on left and Bus Station on right, over traffic lights and along Lansdowne Place. At T-junction, turn left and go past Railway Station to mini roundabout. Turn left and car park is immediately on your right next to The Dripping Pan.

Directions from Haywards Heath / Burgess Hill / Mid Sussex

Head towards Lewes on A272 and head towards Lewes Prison.  At traffic lights go straight over and down steep hill, follow the road until you get to The Swan, turn left onto Southover High Street and proceed for approximately one mile (past Anne of Cleves House and the Kings Head) where you meet a mini roundabout - go straight over and Car Park is immediately on your right.
