U11s ARE LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
Saturday 26th March 2010 : Broad Oak & Horam United 0 (0) - (2) 7 Ringmer Rovers
Ringmer finished the season with what was there best display of the season. With the League already in the bag Ringmer travelled to Broad Oak to face a side that ended Ringmer's 100% record and a team that Ringmer had never beaten before, but the end of the game Ringmer had put that record straight after what was a totally dominant display. From the first whistle Ringmer were on top creating several clear cut chances that they were unable to take with Daniel hitting the bar from only six yards out when it seemed easier to score. Ringmer eventually got their reward when leading scorer Callum got on the end of a great pass and a composed finish put Ringmer one up. Ringmer continued to dominate and got a second just before half time when Luke scored what may be the goal of the season when he fired in from 35 yards out beating the keeper all ends up.
Ringmer started the second half with the same tempo and were soon 3 - 0 up when Callum found himself alone in the six yard box with just the keeper to beat. The fourth followed shortly after when after a clever corner routine between Sam and Oliver crossed for Luke to score his second of the game with a fantastic left foot volley. Sam soon made it five with a great shot from distance that the Broad Oak keeper fumbled into the net under pressure from Finley. Ringmer kept piling forward needing just three more goals to make it 50 for the season. One of those came from Callum who finished off a stunning move created by midfielder Oliver. This gave Callum his third hat trick and sixteenth goal of the season. The seventh and final goal came minutes from the end with Captain Wilf heading in from another excellent Sam corner. Unfortunately Ringmer ran out of time and had to settle for 49 goals of what has been a fantastic first season in 11 a side football. Ringmer were exceptional in this game and will hope to carry this form into next season.

Saturday 19th March 2010 : Old Town Youth 2 (1) - (1) 1 Ringmer Rovers
Newly crowned champions Ringmer Rovers suffered only their second defeat of the season on Saturday going down 2-1 to local rivals Old Town Youth. Ringmer's preparation for this game were thrown into disarray on Friday when four players dropped out leaving Ringmer with only nine players. Early intimations were that Old Town were going to be sporting and would only play with ten players to make the game competitive for the boys but on arrival at the game all that had changed with Old Town deciding that it was best to play with eleven against the nine of Ringmer. Undeterred Ringmer set out to win the game playing fast attacking football and their endeavour was rewarded mid way through the first half when in form winger Alex put them one up with his fourth in as many games, this was a deserved goal for Ringmer who did not look like they were two men down as they were working tirelessly closing down and making things difficult for old town. But inevitably as the half came to a close Old Town equalised when they went through a whole in the tiring Ringmer defence and slotted easily passed the advancing Reece. The second half was a more even affair but again Ringmer worked and worked and were never dominated by the eleven players but midway through the half Old Town capitalized on a rare mistake in the Ringmer defence and again easily slotted passed the Ringmer keeper. Rather than their heads going down this spurred Ringmer on and they started to dominate which was a great effort for nine men, several chances were missed and with five minutes to go Ringmer were given a chance to equalise when a penalty was awarded for deliberate handball. Unfortunately usually dependable penalty taker Sam stepped up but drove the penalty over the bar there was even more late drama when Oliver fired wide from close range when it looked easier to score this was the final action of the game and all credit go to Ringmer who with nine men deserved to come out of it with at least a point.

It took until the 15th minute before Ringmer got their first with Daniel powering in from close range, another Daniel goal and a first goal of the season for Dylan gave Ringmer their 3 - 1 half time advantage that should have been a lot more.
