Following on from last year's overwhelming success where we had 258 teams enter our inaugural tournament, Ringmer Rovers would like to warmly invite youRingmer Rovers Summer Football Festival all to join us at our second summer football festival to be held at Ringmer Community College, near Lewes over four sessions (am / pm) during the weekend of Saturday 19th - Sunday 20th June 2010.  This year we will be hosting every age group from Under 7's through to Under 18's, including Under 13 Girls PLUS we are hoping to have the added benefit of a Veterans (35+) event.  All ages to Under 15's will be 6-A-SIDE, whilst the Under 16's, 18's and Veterans will be 5-A-SIDE.  All participants in Under 7's, 8's and 9's will receive a memento of the tournament whilst winners and runners-up from all age groups from Under 9's up will receive individual trophies.  Each winning team also receives a trophy to keep for the year and a complimentary winner's photo from the Club.

Our motto remains ‘Fun for all the Family’ and so we will retain the services of all DE Photo - Professional Sports Event Photographylast year’s features plus add some new added attractions.  DE Photo will once again be in attendance for the whole weekend to capture those special moments whilst providing each winning team with a complimentary winner’s photo. 

We will once again be offering the chance for someone to win a ‘Brand New Ford Fiesta’ over the weekend whilst this year there will also be a Grand Prize Draw with the chance to win some fantastic prizes including a 42” Plasma TV, a Win a Brand New Ford Fiesta at Ringmer Rovers Summer Football FestivalMountain Bike, an iPod, a Playstation 3, Football Boots amongst many other prizes.  There will be the usual arrangement of refreshments including barbecue, tea/coffee/cake stall, ice cream vans, a fully licensed bar including big screen TV for anyone wanting to keep abreast of the latest World Cup 2010 matches (and NO, England games do not clash with the weekend) together with plenty of fun for all the family with ‘Speed Shot’, ‘Beat the Goalie’, fairground rides, bouncy castles, fun slides, face painting, hair colouring, ‘Towers of Fun’ climbing wall, Go-Kart Party, a fully stocked sports stall aGo Kart Party at Ringmer Rovers Summer Football Festivalnd much more to keep everyone entertained including players, coaches, siblings, friends & family.  If you would like to host a stall at the event be sure to ask as we have plenty of room to spare whilst we will have parking for up to 600 vehicles on site and can offer additional seating if required for spectators.

Some general housekeeping (the boring bit!).....

• Following on from resounding feedback last year we expect demand for entry to be high and so we must advise that entry will be on a strictly first-come, first served basis as although we can accommodate 300 teams we had to turn teams away last year at certain ages;
• Entry fee is £30 per team although discounts are available for multiple entries from all ages from one club - 5 for the price of 4;
• Confirmation of entry will be sent, preferably by email, within 2 weeks of entry being received – closing date for entry is provisionally 30th April 2010 however we will be limited on numbers and may have to close certain age groups early;
• Refund of entrance fee is not available once acceptance is sent out by RRJFC;
• Full details of event arrangements, map, pitch layout, events, timings, rules & team sheets will be sent out around four weeks in advance of the event for distribution to parents, players and coaches + details will be advertised in the local press;
• Parking is only available on site and will £2 per car, whilst programmes are available if required at £1 – multiple car park tickets can be purchased in advance at a 20% discount (i.e. 5 tickets for £8, 20 tickets for £32)
