Ringmer Rovers JFC play their football in the heart of East Sussex just three miles from Lewes, the county town of Sussex.  However, there are many sports organisations locally we would like to mention and if you are in the area that you may like to visit or get in contact with.  If you have a club or society that you would like adding to this page please email with details and we will do our best to add you to the contents of this page.

Ringmer Football Club

Ringmer Football ClubCurrently playing in the Sussex County Football League Division 1, the club is under new management with Bob Munnery taking over as Chairman and having played the last year in administration the Club have continued to play good quality County League football whilst having very little in the way of financial support.  The club is seeking new investment and can be contacted through their website at www.ringmerfc.co.uk



Ringmer Cricket Club

Ringmer Cricket ClubRingmer Cricket Club is a friendly village club.  We run three Saturday teams in the East Sussex League and a Sunday XI.  We have a thriving youth section that trains on the green on a Sunday morning starting with youngsters as young as 7! We have a wide range of members including senior players, junior players, umpires, scorers and social/bar members. We welcome anyone new into the club and people interested in joining should either pop along to the green in the summer months or contact any of the club officers detailed on the website.


Southdown Club

Southdown Club, Lewes

The Southdown Club in Lewes is an established sports club providing fantastic tennis, hockey and squash facilities whilst also offering gym, pilate classes and an environment to relax and socialise in afterwards.  With both grass and hard courts and four squash courts, tennis and squash is available all year round to people of all levels.  Classes are provided for beginners and those with more advanced skills.

 

Lewes Football Club

Lewes Football ClubCurrently playing their football in the Conference South division providing the highest standard of football locally.  The club currently operate a first team, reserves, under 18's and woman's team.  Highlight of recent seasons was their appearance in the Blue Square Conference Premier and a trip to Stoke City in the First Round Proper of the FA Cup.



Sussex County Cricket Club / Sussex Sharks

Sussex County Cricket ClubLocal County cricket being played in the heart of Sussex at their Hove ground.  Some matches also take place at the Saffrons, Eastbourne and in Horsham.

        

 


Lewes Rugby Club

Lewes Rugby ClubFounded in 1930, the club now offer rugby to children from the age of four upwards and have established men and women's team competing regularly for honours.  The Club playes it's matches at the Stanley Turner Ground on the outskirts of Lewes on the Kingston Road.

Lewes Golf CourseA local friendly golf club with it's golf course first being played in 1896, it offers rewarding golf to players of all abilities and provides outstanding views from every hole.





Glynde & Beddingham Cricket Club

Glynde & Beddingham Cricket Club - Clubmark AccreditedAn ambitious local Cricket Club based in East Sussex whose exploits in 2009 saw them win the pretigious nPower National Village Cup at Lords, the home of cricket. This win sees the 1st and 2nd XI now competing in the Sussex Cricket League Division 2 which is another step forward for the club.  Also hosting a 3rd and 4th XI plus a friendly Sunday side, the club provides ample opportunities for junior players and is well recognised locally for their impressive and friendly set-up. The club has a Clubmark Accreditation indicating it is well-managed and a safe place for children to enjoy playing cricket.
